Produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions along with Zee Studios and Cloud 9 Pictures, "Dhadak 2" underwent significant edits to secure CBFC clearance, particularly around caste-related slurs, eventually receiving a U/A-16+ rating. The film's music by Rochak Kohli, Tanishk Bagchi, Javed-Mohsin, and Shreyas Puranik complements the emotional narrative, though some critics noted it didn't quite match the impact of the original "Dhadak" soundtrack.
